I recorded this album during a year off before college. These are the first real songs I wrote, and I began recording them while the band I had been in for three years was breaking up. It reflects a much different approach to recording than the albums I've recorded since; it's more experimental, messier, etc.
I love it, though it's sometimes embarrassing or frustrating. It reminds me so vividly of the winter that I recorded it -- holed up in my brother's room when I wasn't at work, trying to figure out how the hell to record music on my own, how to sing, and how to make anything sound good with the built-in computer microphone.
This album means a great deal to me.
